Master (MS) in Entrepreneurship
Step 1: Ask yourself 5 basic questions
Lets start with the first five questions you need to ask yourself when studying abroad.
Number one, you need to decide on where you want to study. Do you have a particular country where you want to study and you aren’t interested at all in living anywhere else, or would you be willing to study at universities located in a number of countries? Or are you looking for a region such as Europe, but you really don’t care about what specific country you will be in.
In addition to what country you want to study in, here are four other questions that you need to ask yourself as you get started in the process.
- What country (ies) do you want to study/live in?
- What is the education system like?
- What universities are available in each country?
- What field will you study and what degree will you obtain?
- What preparation do you need?
As you ask yourself these questions, keep in mind that there is no set formula for how to go about researching countries and universities. This website is designed to guide you toward a logical step-by-step process. I believe that becoming a good student and a good applicant can be taught, but keep in mind that planning your future is a long process. The entire application process, including the research phase should take you a year or more. There are no shortcuts, but I promise that if you follow the steps in this course that you will really know what you want and have a much greater chance of attaining it.
Also keep in mind that there is no perfect university. Instead of trying to find the one perfect university or opportunity, realize that you will be happy in many places and focus on finding several of those places to apply to. It is going to be overwhelming at first, but it is overwhelming for domestic students as well. However, if you embrace the process of learning about all the different options out there and accept that there will always be uncertainty, then your path will become more clear over time.
